Six different Typophiles ephemera, some in duplicate. Documents Muir Dawson's relationship with the organization, and the history of the Typophiles in general, and the Chap Book Series in particular. The items included are 1) Typed list of Typohile Chapbooks, 1935 to 1958. Author and title list, an original and 2 onion-skin carbon copies. Perhaps organized by Muir Dawson for his own records? 2) "A Continuation of Will Ransom's Checklist of Typophile Publications." A photo-process reproduction of a typed document, with a cover-letter signed by Arthur Goldsmith, Jr., dated June 1967. 20-page document printed on the rectos only, includes sections for The Typophiles (in general, includes Chap Books, but also Chap Book Commentaries, and begins with item number 27 (perhaps where Will Ransom left off?, 5 pages); Typophile Monographs (1949-1966) and begins with number 124 through number 183, 7 pages; Typophile Keepsakes (1947-1966, numbers 210 through number 276, 7 pages). 3) French-fold item titled Typohile Chap Books (2 copies), undated (but circa 1951) listing some recently issued Chap Books and available titles in the series with the usual light-hearted commentary. 4) Typed letter, SIGNED, from Horace Hart, Membership Secretary, on Typophiles, Inc. letterhead, undated, but noting the Officers for 1969-1970, addressed to "Dear Sir," and including a membership application, noting the membership dues for the year beginning January 1, 1970. 5) JOHNSON, Fridolf (1905-1988). "The Typophiles and a keepsake." In: American Artist, May, 1969. Single sheet, folded twice, allowing for 6 pages, further folded for mailing in a Number 10 envelope. This is an overview article on the history of The Typophiles and their Chap Book Series, with a "Checklist of Typophile Chap Books for Sale, January, 1970." 6) The Typophiles Newsletter, Vol. 4, No. 2, June 2002. 6 pages with color adverts and illustrations throughout. Includes a list of 4 entries of titles issued in the Typophiles Monograph New Series, 1977-2001.
