LIMITED EDITION of 50 copies, printed and bound by James Lamar Weygand on his handmade paper, for Maestro Books. For The Press of the Indiana Kid, James Weygand performed all functions, including paper making, typesetting, letterpress printing, and binding. This volume details Weygand's first ever attempt at making handmade paper with a meat grinder in 1945, following instructions from Dard Hunter. Weygand includes a small sample of that first batch, as well as several other samples from batches of paper he made in 1969. He writes that he is publishing this book "to be the first printer to print a miniature book on handmade paper of his own making." REFERENCE: Bradbury, 20th-Century U.S. Miniature Books, No. 3220.
