[54] pp. Half-title, title page printed in black and 2 colors including a decorative border and a flower vignette, a short introduction on woodcuts and McLoughlin Brothers, 21 woodcut illustrations of flowers with the name of the flower on the opposite page; text clean, unmarked. Printed patterned paper over boards; binding square and tight, spine lightly faded, 2 bumps to the front hinge. SIGNED BY VANCE GERRY on the colophon. DRR410-001. Very Good. LIMITED EDITION, of 150 copies, printed from the original McLoughlin blocks by Vance Gerry for Dawson's Book Shop, using Granjon types on Warren's Old Style paper, binding by Bela Blau, SIGNED by Vance Gerry on the colophon. This delightful little book contains 21 flower woodcuts designed for the McLoughlin Brother's firm about 1870. By this time, McLoughlin Brothers was one of the largest publishers of children's books, paper toys, and games; they began their firm in the 1820s. The woodcuts developed by McLoughlin Brothers eventually made their way into the possession of Dawson's Book Shop after the McLoughlin firm was liquidated after World War II.
